Profile Manager of Firefox

All working data of firefox application such as  personal settings, added extensions and themes, and user data. are storeed in a "profile" folder that can be accessed through a "Profile Manager". The original profile can be retained by creating an additional profile.

  1. Use "Search" charm at the right edge to search the location of the firefox application file.

  3. Click "Open file location" to open the location of "firefox.exe" in the file explorer.

  1. Close all Firefox instance or window, and run the command or Click the shortcut of "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe -P" or  "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe -profilemanager" to open the "Firefox - Choose User Profile" window, or the "Profile Manager"

  2. Or run the command or Click the shortcut of "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe -P -no-remote" or  "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe -profilemanager -no-remote" to open the "Profile Manager"

  3. Click "Create Profile..." to open the "Create Profile Wizard" window.

  4. Click "Next" to open the "Completing the Create Profile Wizard" group box of "Create Profile Wizard" window.

  5. Enter a new profile name, e.g. "r_default" to replace the preset name "Default User".

  6. Click "Choose Folder" to open the "Choose Profile Folder" window.

  7. Browse to select a folder other than the defualt folder.

  8.  Click the "Select Folder" to confirm the selection.

  9. Click "Finish" button to confirm the creation of the new firefox profile.
